About this tour
The Pelješac peninsula has been known for wine since ancient times. The tour’s first stop is Ston, a medieval town defended by a 5.5 km wall — the longest fortification system in Europe, dating to the 14th century — before continuing into the peninsula’s wine villages.
Plavac Mali, a cousin of Zinfandel, is the signature red grown on the steep, sea-facing hillsides of Dingač and Postup, and the tour includes a stop at a well-known local producer for tasting straight from the cellar. Optional add-ons on the day include an expert guide, entry to the Ston salt pans, and a formal wine-production presentation with tasting — lunch is not included.
