About this tour
Mostar is a city where East visibly meets West: the Ottoman-era Stari Most bridge over the Neretva river gave the city its name (“most” is Croatian for bridge), and still marks the line between its historically Muslim and Christian quarters. The bridge was destroyed in the 1990s war and rebuilt stone by stone, reopening in 2004 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After walking the old town — the bridge, the smaller Kriva Ćuprija, the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque and the bazaar — the tour continues to the Kravice waterfalls, a wide curtain of falls on the Trebižat river, before returning to Dubrovnik. A stop for local ćevapi is a highlight for most guests.
