About this tour
Krka National Park is built around seven tufa waterfalls on the Krka river, formed by a natural karst process that keeps building the travertine barriers the water cascades over. A short boat ride from the main falls reaches Visovac, a small island with a 15th-century Franciscan monastery in the middle of the river’s widest, calmest stretch.
From Krka, the tour continues to Split, built around the 1,700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace, for free time to explore the Peristyle and the Riva waterfront. A typical day departs Dubrovnik around 06:30, spends the late morning to early afternoon at Krka, then continues to Split for the rest of the afternoon before returning by evening.
